An imposing Oak cabinet based on a traditional housekeeper’s cupboard, as utilised in large country houses during the 18th & 19th centuries. The upper half featuring two central glazed doors flanked by Welsh-style fielded panels. The lower half being a traditional dresser base with ogee-shaped fielded panels, hung on traditional brass “H” hinges with knobs and turn buttons. The upper half could have an alternative layout, with panelled doors in the centre and glazed doors on the outside.
