Oak Tavern Seat

An Oak tavern seat with three ogee-shaped fielded panels and scrolled arm supports, above a thumb-moulded seat, which is raised upon simple baluster legs. These tavern seats often came with multiple panels and were common throughout the 17th & 18th century, some having boarded bases.
