Oak Tavern Seat With Potboard

An Oak tavern seat with two ogee-shaped fielded panels and scrolled arm supports, above a thumb-moulded seat, which is raised upon simple baluster legs. These tavern seats were common throughout the 17th & 18th century, some having boarded bases.
