A really magnificent Oak 4-poster bed from the early Stuart period, having a tester comprising 20 moulded panels and a dentilled cornice above finely fluted rails. The headboard features a top rail with lunette carving, above a pair of arcaded doors with fluted pilasters and flanked by finely carved lozenge-shaped panels. The twin foot posts having gadrooned bulbous cups above leaf carving, surmounted by finely fluted columns. The footboard comprises a top rail with lunette carving above four plain panels with fluted muntins and a moulded channel rail. Any other sizes can be designed.
