A superb example of classic Biedermeier furniture, this bookcase is in true authentic style. The twelve drawer breakfront base is surmounted by a four door bookcase section shown here with “chickenwire” grilles. The ebonised columns are capped with the finest hand engaved solid brass capitals finished with simple square paterae and dentil moulding. Variations of this fine cabinet include pleated silk with brass grilles or glass doors and illumination
